Walking on the l'Aup du Seuil | 247 |

The Webmaster writes: Warning: Despite the Aup du Seuil being a highly protected nature reserve, the hunting interests are currently denying access to the whole area from, south to north, between the col de Bellefond and the border with Savoie, and, west to east, from the crest to the the eastern flanks. The only permitted walking routes in the area are the GR9 and the Passage de l'Aup du Seuil. Pascal Sombardier has an interesting article on the situation in his blog. Walkers have experienced violence, and the author cannot be held responsible for any unfortunate experiences encountered whilst following the routes described on this website. It is suspected that the eastern approaches will probably be more rigorously monitored than the western. The descriptions of the affected routes are prefaced with a specific warning. |

Brought back wonderful memories of our trip in 2007. Superb photograph album and excellent guide to this special area. We went on a motorhome trip knowing little about the area. Thank you for sharing this. |
