Air Pipe Brackets in Hebden Horse Level

Photograph of the compressed air pipe brackets in Hebden Horse Level

This photograph taken in 2012 shows two compressed air pipe support brackets embedded in the wall. They are about 30 cm long. The compressed air was used to power the drills used for making shot holes. The boundary between the darker lower section of wall, and the lighter, upper section, indicates the water level behind the 1980s dam before it was drained. Click the photograph for a larger image.
